Yo Vocal Issue Four

In 96 pages of beautiful content, over 30 people have contributed or are featured within this issue. Alongside supporting young writers, 20% of the profits from the sale of this magazine will be donated to our chosen charity, The Sustainable Coastlines Charitable Trust.

We’ve themed each issue in the past, but we decided not to analyse the content this year and instead let whatever came up find a home within these pages. At the end of the day, sharing stories of life on Earth is our kaupapa.

Kicking us off is a wahine full of intrigue; Delilah Pārore Southon, who takes us through her mystic musings of kuia kōrero - a personal story about the strong influence of her nana.

You’ll find conversation with musicians MELODOWNZ, Half Queen, Bontempo, Kédu Carlö, and Hurricane Emily. We discuss all of their individual explorations with music which goes way beyond just making people dance.

Not only have we included juicy content from some of Aotearoa’s sickest creatives, but we also dive into thoughts on career expectations, active anti-racism, balancing like-ability and self-respect, plus so much more than you could ever imagine. But to find out, you’ll just have to purchase a copy.
